The Leisure Collective (TLC), sole distributor of Creatures of Leisure premium surf accessories, had outgrown its antiquated, paper-based catalogs and sales order forms.

The fast-growing company, established 25 years ago, has developed a reputation for using cutting-edge materials and designs to create highly-functional, premium-quality surfing accessories. TLC needed a solution to modernize their sales process, support the rapid growth and improve the productivity of 30+ in-house and independent sales reps based in the US and Australia.

In their existing paper-based process, reps had to sell and take pre-season and in-season orders – with minimal to no visibility into current and future inventories – a process which was tedious and inconsistent with the TLC brand image. Management had little visibility into the field sales and merchandising activities, and had to rely on paper-based reports turned in by the sales reps.

TLC set an ambitious plan to implement both a new cloud-based, enterprise-grade ERP and an integrated mobile sales automation solution within just 10 weeks!

Having selected NetSuite as its ERP, TLC accepted NetSuite’s recommendation to implement Pepperi’s mobile-first sales automation solution. Project implementation began in early April, and a worldwide rollout of the NetSuite-Pepperi ecommerce solution followed, as planned, in July.

Pepperi was initially rolled out with order taking, and route and activity planning modules; mobile CRM and merchandising would follow after initial deployment. Sales reps received remote, web-based training, and the system was deployed to the reps’ existing tablets and laptops on the same day.
