las vegas souvernir showTomorrow, more than 1,100 booths will pack the nation’s largest souvenir show. The Las Vegas Souvenir and Resort Gift Show will be taking place from September 17th-20th at the Las Vegas Convention Center in North Hall 2-4. The event will have retailers from various categories including apparel, toys, camping, jewelry/fashion, giftware, travel, and much more.

Companies of all sizes will be present. Whether you’re looking for the next big start-up or established names, they will all be set up and ready to showcase all of their products. The president of Urban Expositions (the organizer of the event), Doug Miller, is very optimistic about how great of an opportunity this event will be for businesses. “If you’re in the souvenir and resort business, you just can’t miss this show”, says Miller.

The gift show will not just be a local event. Known all around the world as a “must attend” show, retailers travel from all around the world to be in attendance as both exhibitors and attendees. Dave Coates of Skagway Mining in Arkansas echoes the same sentiments shared by hundreds of other retailers who have attended the show in the past. “This is the only show that can get us to leave our stores during our busy season. This is simply the show you must attend,” says Coates.

The experience alone is more than enough reason to attend the show, but some other highlights are:

A wider selection: With over 1,100 booths presenting thousands of products including eco-friendly products, apparel, mountain and lodge, promotional products, Made in America items, and more, there will be no shortage of products to choose from. Safari ltd, American Apparel, Chevrolet, GM, and many other big name companies will all be exhibiting. For a full list of exhibitors, visit this page.

Free goody bags: As an added bonus, the first 100 buyers through the doors on September 18th and 19th will get a free goody bag packed with gifts from the show’s exhibitors.

Living legends social: After the closing of day 1 of the show (September 17th), the Living Legends Association will honor its members who have been vital in the growth of the souvenir industry. The Living Legends Association is comprised of sales reps, wholesalers, designers, and manufacturers who share a common goal of improving the souvenir industry.

Free seminar: The National Association of Retail Buyers (NARB) will host a free seminar called Making Retail Magic on Wednesday September 18th from 2-3PM. The speaker will be the director of retail for DNC/Yellowstone General Stores, Karen Tryman. Tryman will be showing retailers how to use creative techniques to get new customers and will also be giving tips on visualization.

Retail scavenger hunt: NARB will also be holding a retail scavenger hunt during the show. Buyers will have the opportunity to win prizes by visiting the booths of NARB members.

ZAG Networking Events: The Zoo and Aquariums Buyers Group will be hosting networking events throughout the show for their members.

Urban Expositions has made traveling to the show extremely cost efficient. The organizers are offering discounted hotel rates starting from just $9.99 at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. In order to take advantage of these steep discounts, you must pre-register as a retail buyer. The managers of the show have also negotiated discounted rates with other Las Vegas hotels for both buyers and exhibitors. Reservations can be made online or by calling 1-855-246-URBAN.

The show hours are as follows:

  • Tuesday, September 17 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, September 18 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 19 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday, September 20 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

This is a can’t-miss event for all retailers. Despite the show’s name, there is something to be gained for all retailers, even outside of the travel industry. As Stephanie Fridge from the Kennedy Center stated, “To our surprise, the Las Vegas Souvenir & Resort Gift Show was much more than its name implies.”
